There are several ways in which Gesture Computing supports gesture input. One approach is called Haptics.  Haptics is the science of applying tactile sensation to human interaction with computers and there are companies like immersion.com that build a wide range of solutions from medical simulators to gaming devices. To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo  created a controller  with the sophisticated motion-sensing technology. At about  the size of a traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the Wii Remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on. In addition to its pointing and motion-sensing abilities, the Wii Remote also includes a speaker, rumble feature and expansion port for additional input devices. The WII device is Haptic and so is the Novint Falcon Device shown here.

The Novint Falcon is a  haptic device  that involves physical contact between the computer and the user, usually through what appears to be joystick. The design senses the body's movements. allowing user to not only feed information to the computer but can receive information from the computer in the form of a felt sensation on some part of the body. Pretty amazing stuff.
